Yesterday was my favourite type of shoot.
One family, two precious and way too cute little people. Two great locations with some great distractions – a horse, a dog and some now named “tickle grass”.
I am shooting Kamala and Steve’s wedding later this year, and we decided to do a family shoot so we could all get to know each other. I loved how Kamala saw this shoot, we went shopping together the day before to get all the outfits co-ordinated to best suit the locations and style of photography I do….PORTRAITS….about the face, the expression. And not the clothing.
It really makes a huge difference when families respect their shoot, it really does.
Anyways let’s have the images speak for themselves now:

We had a second shoot with my sister while she was here, and this time Sandra decided to bare all. Well, why not? This is an amazing time of her life and might be her last pregnancy….so let’s celebrate!
Here she is, just so amazing….in so many ways!

It’s the same old question over and over when you are pregnant “do you know what you are having”…..followed by the parents thinking “a human you twit!”. Heidi and David don’t know the sex of their soon to arrive baby, but apparently David has a strong feeling. I can’t wait to see if he is on the money
Personally I don’t try to guess as I always seem to be incorrect.
We met yesterday on a very showery sort of day at this farm/rustic location. I love doing outdoor maternity shoots, a lot of fun…even in the mud *yikes* Heidi was such a trooper and a wonderful pregnant model!
Looking forward to a great surprise soon guys x

Today was a shoot that was a gift. Daddy (Ken) here is having a birthday very soon and Gemma decided to give him a family portrait session for his birthday. Such a great idea, as it is something that the whole family get to enjoy together – both the shoot and the end product. In fact, one day Ken’s great-great Grandchildren will marvel at these images! How amazing to know that….
We met at an interesting location and although we had a few too many bugs and bities to share the spot with the girls were such great sports.

What can be more exciting then awaiting the birth of your first baby? That feeling of not knowing what being a parent will feel like, the anticipation of seeing who your child looks like…*sigh* just such an awesome time all round. And I have to say for each and every baby too!
The stunning Ian and Leeanne have only a few weeks left to answer all the above, and I am so excited to see their baby soon too! Here are a few of their images from today, what a beautiful family to be!

Today was a session with this beautiful family, they live up north but were in town visiting friends and family. It was such a fantastic afternoon, babies A’s age can be a bit of a challenge to photograph as they get tired and overwhelmed easily. Also a lot of little ones are yet to experience sitting on the grass, as was the case for A. And when she did sit on the grass she would do a little [ “shimmy shimmy” it was TOO CUTE!!! A was a true princess and *loved* having the attention on her. She followed me where-ever I moved to and had the cutest little smile to go with it!
It really was just a great afternoon……..

*Gasp* I am going to show a colour image!! The dots in the background are my cow friends…moooo!!

Safe travels home guys x
Little J comes with built in coolness….he has the cutest little tuft of hair on his neck – like a mullet – and little sideburns to match. How adorable is that? I was holding him and thinking how amazing it is to meet him. I got to see him when he was busy growing nicely and no one yet knew he was a boy – or came with these adorable accessories
He has the most caring Daddy who loves to hold and rock him, making him feel safe, secure and loved. And his Mummy is nothing but pure sweetness. As you can tell this morning was a pleasure! I love meeting new families.

This is J with his family crest that is tattooed onto his Dad’s back (we share the same surname actually!):
