Today was a session with this beautiful family, they live up north but were in town visiting friends and family. It was such a fantastic afternoon, babies A’s age can be a bit of a challenge to photograph as they get tired and overwhelmed easily. Also a lot of little ones are yet to experience sitting on the grass, as was the case for A. And when she did sit on the grass she would do a little [ “shimmy shimmy” it was TOO CUTE!!! A was a true princess and *loved* having the attention on her. She followed me where-ever I moved to and had the cutest little smile to go with it!
It really was just a great afternoon……..

*Gasp* I am going to show a colour image!! The dots in the background are my cow friends…moooo!!

Safe travels home guys x
Little J comes with built in coolness….he has the cutest little tuft of hair on his neck – like a mullet – and little sideburns to match. How adorable is that? I was holding him and thinking how amazing it is to meet him. I got to see him when he was busy growing nicely and no one yet knew he was a boy – or came with these adorable accessories
He has the most caring Daddy who loves to hold and rock him, making him feel safe, secure and loved. And his Mummy is nothing but pure sweetness. As you can tell this morning was a pleasure! I love meeting new families.

This is J with his family crest that is tattooed onto his Dad’s back (we share the same surname actually!):

This stunning family was referred to me by the family below (have a look), and H and D let me know that baby E is a “champion” and is very placid and sleepy….well I was a little skeptical as you just never know when photographing babies. Um, I am happy to say that they were correct. E was a CHAMPION!! He slept the whole time, only grunting with each new pose. So, so adorable!!
Marissa owns a local day spa Essence and it was obvious how beautiful she is!!
Here is the little man, who over the past 4 weeks has been growing his milk tummy very well!

Hard to call this work, really. When I get to photograph a sleepy, fresh and totally precious newborn I really have a great time. Little Z was a star today, and so much fun! You may remember her beautiful Mummy and Daddy from the beach…..
Can you believe that T only had 7 days until Z was born…little did we know! I have been looking forward to this newborn shoot as with genes like this Z was bound to be amazing…correct – she was!
T and T, again it was nothing but a pleasure. You guys rock as people, parents and my new friends (told you it is all about socialising for me!)….

I get nervous before each shoot, but today I was more so as I was so excited and really had a mind exploding with new ideas. When T let me know that her and her beautiful bump (and a beautiful husband!) wanted to have an outdoor maternity session at the beach I was ecstatic!
I got to the beach and was so happy to see an awesome amount of water in the creek, and also some wonderful gusty wind. I just had to wait for this hot couple and it all came together quickly! You have to agree that T has an amazingly beauitful bump, with only two weeks until her due date! I can’t wait to meet their little girl very soon, she is bound to be the most stunning and loved girl in town
Guys, you know you rocked it, it was such a great afternoon and I would so get in that creek and let the fish bite us again for more amazing images. All the best with the birth, see you soon! x

2010, already? wow isn’t it amazing?
Firstly a quick thank you for everyone’s patience. We have just had a week away for some much needed time out. Now back home I am refocused, re-energized and ready for the exciting year ahead. I know it is going to be huge and fun!
Today I had my first official 2010 shoot with this big, extended family. They were all together to celebrate a special birthday for their son/brother/uncle/brother-in-law. I really do have fun with big family groups, and there are always lots of laughs. Today was no exception! Thanks for a great start to the year guys, and I hope the party was fantastic.
Two people meet:

And together they have six children:

And (so far) some have then formed their own families:

Families stay close and you can see the love they share:

And the best thing about a big, extended family? The FUN you all have when you are all together:
