Maleny Manor is an amazing place to get married. It is intimate, peaceful and dreamy! Nicole and Ben chose this location for their beautiful wedding day. And my goodness – what a treat it was to go there and photograph them. The hinterland is just stunning, and to see a gorgeous couple in that hinterland; very much in love – hmmmm I did have a few little tears of excitement and love!
This wedding I photographed together with Stephen Cameron from Hybrid Vision Photography and it was great to work together and share the experience of what really was a standout wedding!

Thank you Ben and Nicole for allowing me to part of your day; I wish you all the very best for now and the future.
I have photographed quite a number of bumps, and what I love about each and every one of them is that they are all so different!
Today photographing M and M’s bump I realised how cute this little one was! I mean M is 36 weeks, and looks *amazing*!!! It was a great way to kick off the week, and I am really excited to meet their new bundle in a very few, short weeks! All the best guys, see you soon!

Monday I received a call from Suri Creations asking if I could do a fashion shoot with a very short time frame. Luckily I was going to be going to a fun shoot (something I like to do from time to time for me!) and I had a model and another photographer who were ready to go anyways.
We went to a wonderful, rustic creation with our model (Ryley is also a great emerging photographer), an amazing gown and the designers. It was all systems are go. It was such a fun afternoon and something I would really adore to do again. So if you are a business out there wanting some fashion shots that stand out be sure to give me a call!
This gown was hand made, completely. Suri Creations spin the fleece and then hand crochet the gown together. These are one off gowns, and something that certainly will see a bride stand out from the crowd. From a photographer point of view, they are such a flattering, elegant and unique dress to photograph. Also very practical for some different sort of fashion like shots. Oh how I loved it!!
Anyway, thought I would share a few of the images (and will update you once I know what image makes the magazine):

Saturday I got to drive to a town I had never been to (or heard of actually) until I met M and A. They live in a small town nearby where they got married. I loved how the whole town basically was at the wedding (this town was tiny). You could feel the community support and atmosphere.
For their special photographs we drove out to the forestry, where we released some beautiful butterflies with great symbolic meaning. The kids loved it!! I love going to new places, the excitement of a new adventure and new surrounds is really great. This town had real character to it, and some great backdrops. And of course when you are married in a place that is you, the images are all YOU! M was a bit scared when A asked her to go into the cattle yards with a HUGE bull and heifer – I was a tad scared too, but anything for a good photograph!
M and A, thanks for the opportunity to photograph your special day, and for the amazing experience.
So remember – “have camera; will travel!!”.

Saturday was a brilliant day, lovely and warm with a beautiful sunset for this sweet couple. G and N came from Gladstone to meet me and wow was I glad they gave me the privilege of photographing their beautiful wedding.
During the ceremony N’s boss (such a great and helpful guy) saw the company yacht go past, and promptly organised for it to be used in some photographs – wow it was beautiful!!
Hoping you both enjoy that awesome honeymoon, I can’t wait to hear all about it.

Yesterday was such an amazing experience, when C rang me to let me know that her and M were celebrating a special wedding anniversary I didn’t realise how amazing their story was going to be!
Married at only 15 and 17 – here they are celebrating (in a very romantic way) their 50th wedding anniversary. They were like 2 love birds, holding hands, snuggled up and letting me photograph their still very evident love for one another. Awesome!!
When the time comes for myself to be in this situation I hope I take a moment to remember C and M and aim for the love that is obvious in their marriage. What a gift!

I wonder if any of you have seen me lately and not been up to say hello? The town of Bundaberg has been buzzing with a few things going on that I (and my family too!) have been part of. It started with our local show, this is something that we look forward to every year. A dagwood dog (to make you feel so sick!); show bags and fireworks. This year I entered the local photography section as I always do, and gained a 2nd in the “colour portrait” section. My girls also went ahead and entered the competition for the first time. They did very well with some highly commended and a 2nd for G. Here are a few shots:

I also had the opportunity to “woman” 2 stalls lately. The first being at our “Wedding and Formal Expo” in May, and the other at a wonderful evening held at the Bundaberg CitiCoast Church, it was called “Glamour” and was basically a night of fun, pamper and cake
for women. It was so beautiful to see, and great to be part of! Be sure to try and go along next year ladies!! Here is my stall from the Expo:
