May, 2009 Archives

Yesterday I drove to Brisbane especially to meet this precious baby girl for the 2nd time (you might remember me photographing her Mummy and Daddy at their wedding here – T was in there growing more and more beautiful!). Seeing Miss T today was fantastic, it was certainly worth the drive to get some of the images we got – she was bound to be beautiful with parents like hers…inside and out! J and S thanks for this wonderful experience, and it was great to meet up again. Chat soon x

Saturday was overloaded with tenderness. As looking at this lovely couple that was what I got to witness. The tenderness between two people, isn’t it amazing? Wedding days are so very exciting and such a marvellous event to witness. There were a lot of chuckles during the ceremony and lots of fun through out the day. H looked stunning in this gorgeous gown, and I had to stop myself from staring at the bridesmaids funky red shoes (I will get around to sharing them soon!).
M and H, thank you for the opportunity of sharing your day with you. And for being you!! I hope you have a wonderful time away, and chat upon your return.

The light was all but gone when we were blown away with this sunset! Such an awesome location!

Today as photographing this precious little poppet my heart literally did a little skip-hop-jump. I sat there looking at her ever so peaceful and sweet. Miracles they are nothing short of! Amazing isn’t it? How two beautiful souls make one amazing little one!

D and L – I really appreciate you sharing your morning with me, it was nothing short of a total pleasure! I can’t wait to show you your gallery and get to feel our hearts skip-hop-jump all together! Much love x

Today I got to meet precious Mr M, we had met a few weeks ago – but he was still squished up in his beautiful Mummy! You may remember M and N from their maternity session – such a stunning and sweet couple!! Although he wanted to see me sweat it out while he fell asleep it was worth the wait in the end…he is adorable isn’t he?

I shall see you soon for your viewing M and N – enjoy your babymoon x

This weekend was a b.l.a.s.t! I went to the beautiful Sanctuary Cove at the Gold Coast for the wedding of the sweetest couple! L and J have been together for 7 years and I thought you were meant to get a “7 year itch” not get hitched ;) They had an awesome bridal party right down to the cutest little flower girl who loved having a nap in the limousine! The day really went so smoothly with every little last detail being so beautifully put together. I had an absolute ball at the reception where I certainly picked up some new dance moves (might not do my part in bringing back the “sprinkler” though thanks guys!! LOL).

As I sat there at the reception “people watching” (I love it!); I noticed couples everywhere – hugging, dancing, laughing. It made me realise how we all crave the love of one other soul mate, and how when we find that love it really makes our hearts sing. I am sure when you see the amazing smile on these guys faces you will see and feel that their hearts are singing!

L and J once again thank you for letting me be part of your wedding. It really was a privilege! Chat to you soon, enjoy the honeymoon!

Saturday night I opened up my “gallery” (our home) for a bunch of lovely friends/clients and contacts. The night was so much fun with champagne, hor d’oeuvres and many, many images to have a look at. The night was a huge success and there are already requests coming in for another night in the near future.

I have to say that I had some beautiful friends helping me make it all happen. A massive Susan Wall shout out to my amazing husband (Don), Stephen, John and Sharelle and Judy. You guys are amazing and are like my rocks :) xx

Here are a few images from the night, I am now taking names for the next event (due to the type of event I will keep it invitation only):

….hungry?……

Beautiful J and A:

C and I (C is our local Deportment and Grooming Tutor) and a lovely friend.

Stephen and I – S took all images (bar this one) for me, and is an amazing photographer and friend!

This man right here (my husband) is nothing short of a gift. He did so much to help make this event happen. Love you Mr!

On Sunday for B and T’s wedding I really thought that I had gone to Fashion Week! I swear these people (who are stunners themselves) have the most stunning friends and family. And to top it all off they have so much fun and love together. How much of a great time was this wedding? I loved the vows when B said “for filthy rich, or dirt poor” and then T said “I promise to let you order your own meals at restaurants, to not eat your lollies” or something along those lines. I had to stop myself from bursting out laughing…it was just too adorable!

T’s dress really was AMAZING and one that I think only she could pull off. You were just devine T. And I am sure together you and B are going to have a beautiful and fun future! Hope the honeymoon is going well (Vanuatu must be hard to take you know!). See you guys once you return!

And the image that I think will *have* to go on a canvas (make a huge one too!):

As B loves lollies T organised this surprise for him, a table of lollies that made me drool!

Saturday morning was the surprise wedding of P and K, they held a lovely intimate ceremony (at the most gorgeous location) in the morning, before heading to their other friends and family for their “engagement party”. Here they got to walk in dressed for their wedding, and show a slideshow of their wedding, in the morning. Oh, such a sweet and fantastic idea!
Isn’t seeing the connection between two people like seeing dreams come true? P and K really were wonderful to photograph, and so in love it made for so many great images. Though I am quite sure that bridesmaid and sister R was really over seeing her sister kissing her new husband!! (sorry R!).
P and K, I wish you guys the most beautiful journey in your lives together, I am looking forward too seeing you guys very soon! Enjoy…..

Sorry for the delay – I had a lovely morning giggling my way through a viewing with a beautiful client and before we knew it, lunch time was upon us! What a great way to spend a Friday morning though! Thanks for the lovely time L!! Like I said yesterday the entries I got were so touching, and very beautiful. I wanted to share a few bits and pieces from the emails:

“I think its about time she got something for herself”

“my kids and my husband are my everything but I have to admit that for just an hour or so it would be nice if I was my everything”

“She brings love and joy to all around her and is constantly giving of herself to anyone in need”

“She is very loved especially by me!!!”

” I thought I would nominate her for this competition so that she knows I love her, I think she’s amazing and I think of her often even though we don’t catch up as much anymore”

“a beautiful, nuturing, gentle friend of mine.”

“for the wonderful way she supports us”

The winner is going to be one special Mum who actually received 2 entries. One from a friend, and one from her husband! He let me know that his wife is pregnant with their 3rd child and really does all that she can no matter what to look after her friends and family, above herself. So to “N” please look in your inbox for an email about your special photo shoot, and I look forward to seeing you in the near future!

I am very sad that the other amazing woman didn’t get a chance for a photo shoot, but I am sure once they hear how much those around them love and care for them they will feel loved! Thanks again for the entries and your on-going support!
