I have been so impressed with the entries I have received so far for the “Mothers’ Day competition” – such loving people out there! The entry will close at mid-night tonight and I will make the winning announcement in the morning some time. I appreciate all the feedback I have been getting lately, and to those who come in here regularly to see what has been going on a HUGE thank you!!
Coming into May I am going to be in here a lot with a busy month ahead, a handful of weddings, some beautiful newborns, a wedding expo and a private event (if you are local and want information just email!). I am really looking forward to a month that will see a lot of beautiful moments appear here on the blog.
Don’t forget to book your Mothers’ Day sessions for Mum….I know how many of you feel that they deserve it! Speaking of beautiful moments, here is an image of my sister and her precious little man – just being themselves at the beach:

Today was a shoot I had been looking forward to for a little while now. When S contacted me she let me know that she wanted a different sort of feel for her family shoot, and she wanted some images of herself {ALONE}. I was so excited, and so happy that S decided to do this for herself.
As Mums we sometimes forget who we are – and after all we are beautiful, giving women. {That needs to be celebrated}. S and I enjoyed some champagne to start with, and a great chat – that was such a nice way to start our shoot today. Then we got shooting some beautiful portraits of such a beautiful woman. S your eyes are outstanding. I hope you had a lovely afternoon and to be honest the glorious day outside was truly worth missing to do this with you!! Can’t wait to see you soon!

Just a quick announcement to let my clients know that all Saturday’s for the month of May are now booked out. I still have room available for 1 maternity/newborn morning session for Saturday 30th May. All other shoots will need to be on weekdays or Sunday’s (the 10th and the 17th are currently open).
June is going to see us coming into winter, so keep an eye out for some deals to help warm you up. Many exciting things are in the pipelines for Susan Wall Photography so be sure to come back and share in the fun and excitement.
Again, a reminder about the Mothers’ Day competition, you have 1 week to tell me about the woman you love and admire. She will receive an awesome gift from you, and something that will be cherished for generations.
Ok, back to work for me. I have so many beautiful families to edit and order, it is not really work though
You walk into the house, and see a high chair, a nursery all set up and two excited parents – how priceless is that? Today I photographed M and N who are really trying to be patient while anticipating the birth of their first little one. Tell you what though, things have changed when it comes to what is available for cute as nurseries!! Their baby is going to be so beautiful no doubt at all, and I can’t wait to meet him/her in the coming weeks!

M and N, thanks for such a lovely morning, it was wonderful catching up again. Hope all went well today and see you very soon x
Yesterday was a beautiful day, and the perfect way to spend an afternoon was at the beach playing and having fun with two of the most precious little fairies. M and S are really close in age, and I just adored their outfits, with matching headbands. But, I have to say their Mummy is a total yummy Mummy who looked AMAZING yesterday – I am still dying to have that hair colour K!! To top it all off insert a hunk of a Dad and this is what you get – one beautiful family!!

K & D, thanks for being such a sweet family and for letting me be the one to share this afternoon with you. Even though you felt it was hard to relax in front of the camera you did a wonderful job. Honestly such a gorgeous family and COUPLE! Hope to see you really soon (oh and thanks for putting up with me hobbling on one foot too!!).
This was a shoot that I had been hanging out to do since I met Mum L. She was so fun, vibrant and lively – I knew it was going to be a fun session! And correct!!! It sure was, I had such a wonderful time with this family. I love it when my clients just get into it and enjoy themselves (even if they are feeling a bit shy). These guys were all so photogenic too – unbelievable…and I had a few fantastic assistants too by the way (all willing to help me out). I hope you guys enjoyed your dinner out, and all get home safely when the time comes (to those not living locally). Today was nothing short of a total pleasure!

A little reminder about the Mothers’ Day competition – still open until the 1st May, I have had some wonderful and beautiful entries to far!

Today I got to photograph a very happy, beautiful little girl. She was christened last weekend and her Mummy and Daddy wanted some images done before she outgrew her lovely little outfit! She was very happy through out the shoot until it came time for the grass to be sat on. I mean, come on people, who would want to sit on that prickly stuff? Geez!!! Some people have no idea, well that was the adorable look M gave me today!
J and S I hope you enjoyed today and it wasn’t too painful letting me talk you into being part of the shoot (I knew you were both going to look great – here is the proof!):

I shall be in touch with you guys once home again. Please note friends that I will be out of the office until later next week. Off on a mostly fun (bit of work) holiday. Please contact me via the mobile if you need anything in the meantime. Emails shall be checked, but not as often as normally. Many thanks!
From my last post you may all understand why I have decided to give a gift to a very deserving Mum out there. Do you know a Mum that is a beautiful soul, and would love the chance to have a photo shoot? Do you know a Mum that works hard all the time (don’t we all!!) and deserves something fun and exciting to do?
This shoot could be one that you get to give to another woman out there that you admire, respect and love!
I am offering the following to one Mum/family:
1 complimentary photo session (1 hour)
1 complimentary 16×20 mounted image
TOTAL VALUE = $260
So, there are conditions right?
Yes there are, there always is. The photo shoot must be done during the month of June, 2009. The Mum must be nominated by someone – either a family member, friend or herself! The image for the mount is to be chosen by the Mum, with other prints available for purchase if she so wishes. The recipient is at the judges (Susan Wall’s) discretion, and her word is final. The photo shoot can be one for Mum only or one that she gets her family to be part of also.
How to nominate the amazing woman that you know?
Please leave a comment here, on the blog – letting me know you have visited. Then send an email in 100 words or less telling me about this special woman. Email to susan@susanwall.com.au
A Mothers’ Day surprise will be announced via email and on the blog to one lovely lady!! Entries close 1 May 2009
To finish off here are some beautiful Mums I have photographed over the past year or so (and one of my lovely girls and I too!):
