November, 2008 Archives

Oh guys, today was the most awesome shoot. The most beautiful little cowboy and cowgirl greeted me at some local stables (well once the cowgirl woke up from her nap that is!). We had a great time playing between the stables and chasing the puppy!

Then after this we had a change of clothes and off we went to another location – this is something I am happy to do as within the one setting it gives you two different feels/backgrounds. Again my little friends (and the puppy) were so well behaved and unbelievably beautiful to photograph!

C, H, S & B thanks so much for a great afternoon, your images are so fantastic…..can’t wait to see you again and see the whole gallery together. I will have to try and stop myself from wanting to edit your session my whole holiday! Here is your sneak peak, chat soon xx

On a side note I am going to be out of the office from today – 27/11 until Saturday 6/12. I am contactable via my mobile, though I will check my emails periodically when I am able to. Can’t wait to see everyone once home again. Take care xx

Today I got to photograph J, a little boy that I have been bursting to photograph since I met him at the pre-booking consultation.

As most of you know I have daughters – and little boys are a great change to photograph! Mr J was really interested in my camera (my assistant in the making!, he even took a photograph of his Mummy at one stage!). He was such a great little boy, and really fun to spend time with. I just wanted to nibble him all up to be honest!

K, C and J thanks for the fun times, and you are such a sweet little family. I hope you enjoy your preview, chat soon (oh and I am really up for some belly shots when the time comes!!). x

Today was finally the day when I got to photograph the winner of my Bump competition I held earlier in the year. B has such a perfect belly, and even more amazing considering this is her 4th baby. The reason I chose B as the winner was she shared with me that she hadn’t had any professional photographs with any of her previous pregnancies. With this *maybe* her last baby I thought it was a nice way to celebrate her pregnancy.
We took some photographs at home first, and then went onto the park to meet up with the other children. As you can see, I again had fun with some beautiful people!
Hope you enjoy your sneak peak R and B, see you soon x

Today was a new experience for me and one I really hope to be able to do again soon. I photographed my first baby christening. It was an honour to do it also for a beautiful little family. We have met this little man before, though he wasn’t yet born. His Mum features her beautiful belly on my blog and also the website. Today J was christened, oh and also his Mum and Dad held an engagement party at the same time (I am photographing their wedding on Valentines Day 2009).
Here are a few images of the day:

Well, the time has come for me to thank you all for your support this year. It has been a *huge* year here at Susan Wall Photography – and one that I have really loved and cherished. To celebrate this I am going to be giving away one free 8 x 12 mounted print (mounted on 20mm foamcore and ready to hang).

Below you will see 7 entries I have chosen as my favourite shots from a few of my sessions. What you need to do is leave a comment here, letting me know you have visited my blog. Then you can email me your choice (#12 for example) to susan@susanwall.com.au

The winner will be announced on 20th December, and the mount will be received early in the New Year.

Today saw one of the high schools here hold their formal/prom. I was fortunate enough to photograph an extremely beautiful family with their daughter being the graduate. It poured down rain most of the day (almost unheard of here in my town!), but the rain held off just enough for our shoot this afternoon. We had a beautiful location (though muddy) and it really was perfect.

Here is a sneak peak for you A, T, J and T – I can’t wait to meet up again soon and see the whole gallery together.

I am not fully booked for weekend sessions for those wanting their images back before Christmas. I can offer week day shoots to those interested, but again they are nearly booked out. Be sure to contact me asap if you are interested.

In the meantime, are you having family visit town over the Christmas holidays? If so, why not think about having a mini session each (1 hour sessions). I am offering $50 per family for the booking fee (that is half price). I am also able to have your gallery ready within the week so family can order their images before heading home. Their selection will then be posted to their home address (no extra charge).

This is your last chance to also take advantage of the web launch special on the website www.susanwall.com.au as I am having a price increase on all packages come January 1, 2009.

In the meantime, here is an image that makes me smile:

How can you call this work? You go to a nice, lush location. Meet a lovely family – who want to be photographed. So, you photograph fantastically, well behaved children and during all this you have FUN! Seems like a huge burden doesn’t it??? NOT! Today was great, I had a mini session with this lovely family. The girls really were angels! Thanks guys, see you soon to view your gallery.

Today I got to meet Miss Z, who is 1 day off turning 4 weeks. She was a happy little girl who didn’t mind a bit of head bling even!

It was such a nice way to spend the afternoon, I always feel like I am meeting new friends when I get to photograph families. Z is one loved little girl, with sweet (yet hilariously funny!) parents.

P and R, thanks for letting me into your home, thanks for the laughs and thanks most of all for allowing me to photograph your Miss Z….she is beautiful. Chat to you very soon to view your gallery.

This was just such an awesome shoot, I decided to share a few more images.

Thanks to the beautiful Michal and to Liz for doing her hair and make up. It really was a wonderful and fun afternoon.

{Keep an eye out for my soon to be announced Christmas Competition}.
