October, 2008 Archives

Today I got to meet up again with baby A – who I photographed a little while back and didn’t want to play. Well, today he was happy to play and we got some lovely shots of him with his Mummy and Grandma. I love photographing at this local park/zoo as the trees make such a beautiful backdrop!

Here is Mr A, now over 3 months old and still cute as ever!!

It was really great to see you again K – you look so beautiful here too! I hope you enjoy this sneak peak and let A know he is a star x

Today we took the girls to the park for a quick photoshoot. It was a lovely afternoon with beautiful light! Shame the sandflies decided to come as the light was its best though – augh!

I dressed the girls up and had them wear special headbands that a fellow (and extremely talented) photographer was kind enough to send me (see Samantha Pearce here: http://www.samanthapearce.com/). Many thanks again Sam x

Here are the girls together, having fun and enjoying getting a bit dressed up. It amazes me how patient they can be!!

To my beautiful girls, I love you with all my heart! Thank you for sharing this afternoon with Mummy and taking some photographs. You are both amazingly beautiful xx

We are going to be visiting the Gold Coast for a week at the beginning of December, 2008. I am happy to offer ONE family/couple a photo shoot during that week. If you are interested please contact me via susan@susanwall.com.au so we can arrange a shoot together.

I am really looking forward to a week with the family, not cleaning and going to the beach! I am also going to meet a couple who I am going to photograph later in the year – can’t wait to see their location choice in the flesh!

I have 2 sessions left for anyone wanting to get last minute portraits in time for Christmas – be quick please!

To end here is a photograph of my precious G – doing what she does when I pull the camera out – SPINNING :)

I have a few more images that I wanted to share with my friend N….we did a mini maternity shoot last week while I was at the Coast for the day. Hope you enjoy these N…can’t wait to hear the exciting arrival of B x

I have been tagged lately by Fiona http://www.fionacarsonphotography.blogspot.com/; Karen http://kvimaging.wordpress.com/ and Phillipa http://sweetchilliphillyphotography.com/blog/ and  I *think* some others which I am sorry to say I totally forgot about :( Let me know guys! I’ll add you ;)

Here is what I have to do:

1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 7 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post.
4. Pass on the tag.

1. I can’t stand having dirty feet – I wear shoes almost all the time – you know where I have been at home as you usually see my shoes parked somewhere nearby :)

2. I am the youngest (by 3 minutes) in my family. I have 2 older brothers and a twin sister.

3. When I left school all I knew was “I want to be a Mummy when I grow up”.

4. I can touch my nose with my tongue – not really a handy skill, but one that is bizarre! Should write THAT on my resume.

5. I am going to have my last year in my 20’s starting on Thursday – I am excited as I am getting new PJ’s for my birthday and I can’t wait!

6. We looked at adopting a child from China. Just filling out the paperwork made me cry – we realised that unfortunately emotionally we weren’t able to do this. We offer help and assistance in other ways.

7. I don’t like circles in houses. Straight lines and squares all the way - architects know not to offer anything curved to me LOL *I sound so anal*

I am going to tag the following amazing photographers:

Mel http://www.iammel.net/

Kristen http://kristencook.com.au/blog/

Robyn http://robyngeeringphotography.typepad.com/robyn_geering_photography/

Rana http://www.ranarankinphotography.blogspot.com/

Kelly http://photosbykelly.com.au/blog/

Danni http://daniellestahlphotography.com/blog/

Susan http://susandarcy.com.au/myblog/

Thanks Fo for the link (and I must learn how to link others better then above LOL). Now a pic to finish on, my girls last weekend at the park:

I travelled to the Sunshine Coast with my daughter yesterday as she had an appointment there (osteopath). The total highlight was being able to see my beautiful friend N – who is due to have her little BOY in a few weeks time.

Her daughter M and my M had a great time (my M loved being called Panda LOL). While they played N and I took a few quick shots. I have only edited these 2 so far N (chaos hit today) but I will add some more asap. Here is a quick sneak for you though:

I can’t wait to hear of your new arrival N and I also can’t wait to see you as a new family of 4. Take care of you xx

Isn’t it bizarre how when it comes to a wedding day we all hope for no rain. It was all looking promising on Saturday (nicely overcast – which us photographers love); but no rain in sight. For J & M’s wedding all was going so smoothly and everyone was extremely calm. We got to the beach and it was looking windy but beautiful. The sun popped out during the ceremony and then quickly went again. Then within an hour it started to pour down rain – I mean POUR! But this ended up being a gift as we were then invited to use the auditorium at the local theatre. The results were fun and stunning.

Thanks to J & M for sharing your lovely day with me and to Stephen (http://www.hybridvision.net/photolog/) for being great to work with!

Today I received some wonderful news – I found out that I have been accepted to be part of a beautiful and giving bunch of photographers!

The Australian Community of Child Photographers (ACOCP) are a group of photographers across Australia that offer photo shoots and images to families that have a stillbirth, premature baby or a child with a serious or terminal illness. To find out more please have a look at their website http://www.acocp.org.au/

I have personally been touched by a stillborn nephew – and when I heard about the ACOCP I knew I wanted to be part of this.

The best gift in life is that of giving! If you want to know more please feel free to contact myself or the ACOCP. If you are in my area please also let people know of this service.

In the meantime, here is a photograph of the sunrise I took to celebrate my nephew’s 1st birthday this year.

Today I spent a lovely spring afternoon with the D family. They consist of 3 girls + 2 boys and wow they were all so different and beautiful! I really could have spent another hour or two with these guys – they sure made my job very easy today that’s for sure! For E & J here is a sneak peak; I really look forward to showing you the whole gallery soon guys. Hope the ‘treat’ went down well this evening.

This wonderful location was at www.branyanretreat.com.au and many thanks to these guys Grandfather who was happy to let us spend the afternoon there.

Thanks to you all for being such good sports. And chat soon. x

When I say a family photoshoot I really do me the WHOLE family :) Today I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the R-A family including their lovely little puppy! What do they say about children and animals I hear you say?? Well, this family were beautiful and so wonderful to photograph. Here’s your sneak peak D & E – Enjoy!
